Dalgleish Sensei travels to San Francisco to study under Yamaguchi Gosei Sensei, eldest son of Yamaguchi Gogen Sensei. Receives his 3rd dan in Yamaguchi Goju-ryu.

Dalgleish Sensei establishes the Sudbury Gojukai Karate Dojo.

Dalgleish Sensei receives his 5th da in Goju-ryu and later receives the Masters rank of Renshi by Yamamoto Shihan, 8th dan from Japan.

Ken Harris Sensei begins his martial arts training at the Eastern Karate Club in Toronto Canada under the guidance of Benny Allen and Bill Hind Sensei.

Yagi Meitoku Sensei creates the Meibuken Kata Fukyu 1 and Fukyu 2, later combined and renamed Tenchi.

1978

|
Robert (Bob) Dalgleish Sensei passes away July 6, 1978 leaving one of his highest ranking students, Bill Hind Sensei, 5th dan to continue the legacy of Canada Goju Karate.

1982

Steve Lynch Sensei begins his formal martial arts training under the guidance of Ken Harris Sensei in CFB Borden, Ontario Canada.

1986

|
Emperor Hirohito presents Yagi Meitoku Dai Sensei the Nigen Kokuho Living National Treasure Award on April 29, 1986. It is the highest that can be achieved in the Japanese arts. Currently only approximately 75 people hold the prestigious award and only two Okinawan Karate Masters are to recive it.
